Quality maps are not that easy to come by in much of Central America, or few that I am aware of anyway. There are some for Honduras on sites like one called “Mystic Sidewalk”, that has some pretty good ones especially of the mainland. Google Earth of course is a pretty useful tool, though you need a higher speed internet connection to use it and many, even in North America do not have that. There are many possible alternatives to investing your hard earned money, and in difficult economic times it seems many who thought all was well in their plan and are now down by 30 or 40% are wondering.

Those who are taking the time to investigate are also finding that now that if you did loose the 40%+/- that it will take years to make it up. For example if you had $200K invested in your IRA or just in taxable investments and it is now worth $120K it will take about two and a half years to make it up and that is if you can find an investment at the 16% needed to accomplish that. Yeah chances are that will not happen.
